The Humane Society of Knox County was founded in 1989. The actual shelter was built in November 1991. The shelter is mainly run by Volunteers with a few paid staff members. They are always over run with mainly cats. They also take a lot of dogs from other over run shelters and from kill shelters in the south.
Knox County Humane Society is a no kill shelter.
Our sweet Josephine (she prefers being called Jo) came from the shelter.
So please help these sweeties out and buy some toys! You're pup will love you for it too. :)

Our cats Milly and Poppet were lucky enough to get some catnip balls from Smiling Frog Pets and they love them!They are so well made and have stood up to a lot of 'backlegging'. Great stuff!
